Windsor sponsored ride - cancelled

I was meant to be going too and had taken time off work to get ready, new body protector arrived today, bought some shavings and extra hay so pony can come in overnight as we needed to leave at 7am, had not gone as far as cleaning tack!

Thankfully my friend checked the website this afternoon as we had booked a horse transporter to take three of us and we were able to cancel our booking in time so that we did not get charged.

I can understand why they did it I presume for health and safety reasons as even though it is not forecast to rain any more between now and Sat/Sun the ground will be very wet and with 1000 horses it would soon get slippery and the jumping might not be safe especially as people are not always sensible about taking it easy in these conditions.

I just hope people don't turn up thinking it is going ahead, especially people who have booked transport to get them there.
 
I was going to do this ride but we left it too late for the entries! Hopefully I'll be able to do it in October! My YO is going so I have just text her to let her know just incase she hasn't seen it! How annoying
