im looking into these feeds for 2 of my horses, one a welsh d rising 3 and one 10 year old westphalian x tb the growth for the rising 3 and the low energy for the warmblood, does anyone feed these and how has your horse done on them.

I feed my horse the medium energy and think its great....her temperament has been brilliant since she's been on it and it seems to have had a calming effect...however, to feed at recommended levels, a bag of the medium would last me 5 days at nearly £12 a bag!!!! The do not recommend feeding anything at all with it (so you could feed less and still have a decent amount of feed), so have offered me an alternative diet of spillers feeds (which I'm not doing)....but i'm going to try her with some alpha with it to bulk it out and get it to last a bit longer.

it look good been reading up on it with the booklets they sent me,i have a bag of growth all ready i counted ( while putting into the feed bin from the bag ) out the scoops for my mare what they told me to give her and it will last 7 days, the low energy will last a bit less as he has to have 3 scoops a day, they said to give a scoop of sugarbeet to it as im already feeding that,i may put my daughters section c on that may calm her a little for her lessons, but may buy a bag of alpha too to bulk out, i like to keep feeds simple dont like givin all these feeds that are out on the market now never had all what you have now when i first started out it was straights then and my horse was doing well.

my friend feeds the Growth to the horse I compete. (he's 11 , but went on it before they brought out the condition and Winergy said it's fine for adult horses). Does heat him up and he does absolutely briliantly on it. He isn't a good doer, struggles weight and muscle wise and within weeks of going on it it mage a HUGE difference!

We don't feed the quantities on the back of the packet. He's 16.1 hannx tb and he gets 1 scoop am and pm with a scoop of alfa beet, and then ad lib haylage at night. He really looks fantastic. 1 bag lasts 2 weeks.

Yep I feed my mare the low energy one. She was on 3kg a day, and became a lot more settled in her work, and looks great on it. I started cutting down on it and adding cheaper stuff to it to try and make it last longer, and she has got her "arguementative" side back. Soooo am back to feeding it as it is meant to be fed now! Its a fab feed, she loves it (grabs the bucket off me as I walk up to the field with it) and really does look and feel well with it :)
