Left it a bit late to enter winburn, entries close 27th august - ten days time - but I havem't even sent off for my day ticket yet and the ballot date was yesterday. Should I enter Burnham market instead? What's it like - the PN? It'll be our second BE.

Winkburn is "lower key" than Burnham - would say course more straightforward.

Pics of both are on Eventing Worldwide.

Probably both would ballot the PN... - mind you, if Winkburn entries are uptodate.. looks like they will have space.

Winkburn isnt a great course and ground isnt usually that good so i wouldnt worry about missing the entries. Whilst there's nothing horrific on the course its just quite a lot of portables and i never think "that" inviting. little downham and burnham market v good options

Well, I have already entered Winkburn PN, so fingers crossed the ground is ok for it. Although I am glad to hear the course is more straighforward!

First PN in two years, and only the second ever

Although I obviously I think you should do Winkburn, as then we can see how much our ponios match

Winkburn is fine if the ground is ok but its nothing special - they do have a decent open ditch in the PN/N so makesure yuo're well schooled over them!
