I havent been to either, but several friends went to Hutton last year and said it was a very tough course (on good horses too). They might scale it down slightly if it caused a lot of problems, have a look at lastyears results to see how any horses you know of have done there.
It was lovely the two years we've been....but there was a bad year a couple of years back apparently.....but its not used throughout the year so doesnt get rutty, and there is a fair bit in peaty woods.....hopefully we will have had some rain!!
Erm, couldn't say... That was the first time I'd done it for a few years. All I can say is whenever I've been the ground's always been either good or wet!
Help! I've entered Hutton, because i'm based in Glasgow, and all of my events since june have been cancelled, so i'm trying to enter further away ones to get a run, and now you've all worried me about it!! Why was it so tough? I had a quick look at previous results on bdwp and there didn't seem to be that many people that had xc faults....??
Oh sorry didn't mean to worry you!! to be honest I've never been myself, I was only reporting what a comment made by my trainer (who's an experienced eventer) but this was a couple of years ago, I really wouldn't read too much into it! Sure you'll be fine
