Is the Winkleigh you are all on about the one in Devon??
I was just wondering as my gran lives there and i go down regularly and i was just wondering where abouts it is so maybe i could go watch one one day

Don't think there's going to be another BE event at Winkleigh this season, as this one has been cancelled, and so has the one in Sept

Does your gran actually live in the village? Its nice, i had a friend who lived there and spent a few good nights in the locals there

Hurray, if only some of the other cancelled ones would try and run again, it would help such a lot, we seem to have had few opportunities to use our registration fees this year..

I wonder if Blackdown Hills would reconsider, the course must be built after all, and it was lack of entries due to Badminton being on the same weekend that caused them to cancel.
I think I'll email and ask! There must be tons of people who would turn up now, and their course is on pretty dry land..
 
If anyone's interested at the moment there is an unaffiliated 1DE at winkleigh the29th July if you want a run - I'm not sure if they are taking entries still but it's worth a try.
 
I don't think they will run that if they hope to do the BE in early August. it's not a massive place and the car parking is always in the same field, even in summer it can be boggy with a chance of getting your box stuck in a hollow..
At least it may run which is great, shame we have just offered one of our entered horses to someone on loan as that was his last entered event!
