How much would you pay for a good condition 2nd hand one that is the right size/colour, changeable gullet but no Cair - its the 500 range Dressage one

Been doing some re-search and found brand new for £249 including postage.

Just browse around ebay, click on one & place it in 'My Ebay' & watch how the bids come in & how much it goes for. Personally I'm not a great fan of them but i would imagine, depending on age & condition around £120-£150 max. My local saddler won't touch them after they're around 18 months old, he says people expect a good deal on a trade in on a another saddle but he has trouble selling them on.

I have been looking on ebay but there are none with changeable gullett's! The one I've seen on another forum she said her saddler said its worth £250!! They are only that new! and she wants £200 for it! I only decided on one of these as I already have a leather jumping saddle and a leather WH saddle and thought an adjustable gullet one at that price would do for our dressage for now. Money is rather tight at the mo!

A mate bought one that was 8 months old a few week ago for £50 for a youngster she has - personally don't like them and wouldn't pay that

Any other suggestions for a low budget would be welcome!! Am going to pop to local saddlers to see what second had leather ones they have in that I can try, or might have to wait a bit longer and get saving up!

I bought a brand new Wintec pro 2000 dressage and I love it, even my trainer likes it. Paid about £400 for it? Was looking at secondhand leather and they were way too expensive IMO. I would rather spend couple hundred more on a new leather one. Leather keeps there value, whereas synthetic is really not wroth a lot

Would def go for the Pro Dressage ahead of the 500 - much better saddle, liked the Thorogood Davison to ride in too - rode a mates horser in one and it was exactly the same as my Barnsby Davison but synthetic

I got my 500 dressage for only £100! WITH the changeable gullet etc. and looked brand new. It is worth putting the odd wanted advert out in your local horsey shops/magazines etc. Thats how I got mine.

I love it, so so comfy and my ned seems to love it too.

You could find a bargain on Ebay. There's 1 on now:
