Has any others had problems with the wintec gullet system.?
I have and isabell worth wintec dressarge saddle and my horse is a irish draft x tb therefore i ordered a white gullet what is a extra wide . 5mths after i purchesed my saddle things started to go wrong as the screw holes where not holding and fabric spliting.I tock it back to where i purchesed it and they looked it over called there supplier they adsked the colour of gullet and they side that it was liac therefor too big/ wrong gullet for this make of saddle.VOIDING my warranty????
The wrong gullet in the wrong box and i am the one lossing out.I never even knew that a lilac gullet excisted as on the bottom of gullet packet doesnt indecate that they have any others,it is not even stamped on gullet what size it is.
WARNING TO ALL ONLY HAVE XXWIDE GULLETS TO COB SADDLES AS WILL DAMAGE SADDLE ....
Has anyone else had this problem as i am trying to get wintec to do somthing about gullet lableing .
many thanks Laura 2002

I don't have a Wintec anymore, but I did know that the lilac gullets were for the cob saddle.

I'm sure you'll find that even if you'd fitted a correct gullet yourself they would have tried to say you did something in the fitting to void your warranty. I know most people do the changes themselves (me included in the past) but I'm pretty sure they do recommend you have a saddle fitter do it for you.

Thats a complete b****r for you, especially as you can't buy the gullets for the extra wide saddles without ordering a saddle - and of course they don't make an extra wide saddle in dressage so goodness knows what went wrong there. I bought my white gullet separately so it had what colour it should be on the box so they label the ones sold separately - obviously just not the ones they send with the saddle.

I brought the gullet for a local tack shop, but i cant find the rec ,The box was all labled up as an xwide and so not knowing that they did the xx wide i thought no different,
i look on the wintec web page and it doesnt say anything about xxwied gullets untill u go into the cob saddles, its one expensive gullet ,I am trying to talk to wintec about in also wrighting to H&H try and a get a warning on this and for wintec to label the actual gullet and not just the box .

i do know that your not supposed to use any of the cob gullets on a normal wintec,i've just bought a wintec wide and my mare is in the x wide at the mo,i said that when she changes to a wide could i put a wide gullet in it, the saddler said your not supposed to. he said wintec advise against it, he said that you shouldn't use anything above a x wide in a normal one to.

i have a purple gullet here and it has a sticker on it saying only to be used for wide and haflinger.

If the one supplied to you didn't have that sticker then you might have a case?
