Wintec pony dressage

What's it like for a small adult (5ft4, size 8, 9st) to sit on? Is the tree REALLY shaped for a pony not the usual banana TB shape? Do the interchangeable gullets actually apply to a pony too? Currently have a Thorowgood pony club saddle (old style) in 16" but need a dressage saddle and am struggling. Pony is 14hh and will take 16.5" saddle but no bigger.

I posted this on page two if it helps.

He has tried the new Wintec Pony dressage but the saddle panels actually exceed 16 inches beyond the back of the saddle and would therefore sit on his back where there is no support.
