I am after an IW and have come across the Wintec Pro Isabell Werth model for sale. It has Wintec Pro on one side and Isabell Werth's signature on the other. Does anyone know the year this would have been manufactured?
Is this a true IW, and is the seat as deep?
I am thoroughly confused and am hoping someone can enlighten me!
Thanks in advance.

Make sure you ride in one before you buy. I rode in a friends and my 34" legs were off the front of the knee roll they are so straight cut (and i ride long).

The isabell werth saddle is fab if your legs are short! I love it, but I had a jump saddle made with 11" flaps so that shows how small I am!

I have read whilst researching, that the Wintec Pro Isabell model's seat isn't as deep as the Isabell Werth version.
I haven't ridden in a Wintec in years and last time I did it was a GP which I didn't feel secure in at all and felt I was perched on top, does anyone get that feeling with the Wintec Pro?

The pro does have a shallower seat than the Isabelle. The Isabelle I loved, and I got on really well with it (til my dratted horse lost a stack load if weight and it no longer fits :(). I don't have short legs (35" inside leg) and got on just fine with both of them in that respect.

The pro I had was with contourbloc, which I liked on my old boy, but neve found useful or helpful on my mare.

Definitely try and ride in both as you will most certainly have a preference, but only you can tell that from sitting in them.

If you get the owner of the saddle to look under the saddle flap (I can't remember which side) and there will be two small labels right at the top near the stirrup bar with numbers on i.e. 11 & 10 these will be the date the saddle was made so November 2010.
My saddler always says the best isabelles are made 2008-2010 but that's his opinion, he also hates the new ones.

Thanks, that's very interesting. Is that just for the Isabell Werth model, or does it apply to the Wintec Pro Isabell Werth too?

Im not to sure on the pros but definately on the Isabelle as they have made some changes which makes them (in his eyes) not as good saddles as the older ones (I can't comment as I did as I was told and brought a old version) he always says it wasn't broken why did they try to fix it!!

I'm 5 10 and never had any problem in mine, mine is the older one though with deep seat, looking to get rid so if interested pm me a offer :-)

Oh what a shame, I have just seen on my other thread that it's a 17.5'', I am after a 16.5'' or 17''! Thanks though!

Ta for the info, everyone.

Hi, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I always thought the Pro wasn't an Isabell design. They look v different and have heard much less favourable stuff about the pro. If you search on Wintec Isabell on eBay a good few come up for decent prices, inc 17" ones...
