Had to sell my Wintec VSD as frankly, it chafed in unmentionable places (even with an Acavallo Gel Out) and took the fun out of riding for me as the seat was too deep. I have a Wintec Wide for my fat, roundy and that's better for me but my other cob is a different shape and a "wide" version won't fit him. I see that the Pro Jump versions have shallower seats but wondered whether they would be daft for general riding. I don't ride particularly long, average, I'd say. Thoughts?

I have no experience of the Wintec jump saddles, but I ride all the time in my Albion K2 Jump, flatwork, hacking & jumping & we both find it comfortable so I would think it would be fine.

My daughter used to have a Wintec Pro Jump which she used for short distance hacking but due to it being very forward cut found it uncomfortable for longer distances. She now has a Black Country GP

I'm a huge fan of the Pro Jump model (looking for one at the moment actually!). I think it's just fine for general riding/hacking, but then again I'm accustomed to riding in flatter saddles. I guess it just depends on what makes you feel secure, but I know a lady who ONLY rides her horse in her Pro Jump and she is happy with it. The fo-suede seat on that saddle is amazing.
