Wintec saddle..twisted tree??

I just wondered if anyone had encountered problems with their wintecs? I have a dressage pro, i have only used it about 20 times, as i broke my leg and has hardly been used since i bought it brand new. i've noticed that the saddle doesnt sit straight on my horses back, i have had it checked by a saddle fitter, she cannot find a problem with my horses back, and so suggested i put a pad under one side of the panels at the back. The saddle sits straight now, but its not really a long term solution. My horse doesnt look to have a back problem, and my old leather event saddle (a barnsby) never sat crooked on her back. I'm just wondering if where the sadlle has been sat in a tack shop with 6 other saddles on top of it for an unknown length of time, would cause the saddle to twist....

Have you checked that the adjustment screws are still in place. I nave known them to come out and this is potential for real damage to a horses back.

Im not a Wintec fan anyway BUT if you think about it, many saddles are mass produced these days rather than bespoke made by a master saddler so the chances are that a slightly dodgy tree could well end up inside a saddle especially as a lot of them are made up by people who wouldnt know a horse if they fell over one.

You may need to get your saddler to take the saddle apart to check it Im afraid.

Wintec give a lifetime guarantee on their trees so I would get it checked by a saddler (the one who came out should have checked it really) and if it's damaged at all they will replace FOC. My friend's wintec tree broke and they did this.
