I'm wanting to treat myself to a Wintec Contourbloc saddle and have been looking around- I was looking on ebay and see it seems much cheaper to import from the States, but whilst looking noticed this in the write up and wondered if it was correct?

Please note the new Wintec saddles are running approximately a half inch larger in the seat than marked by Wintec. We recommend going a half size DOWN from your normal seat size. For example, if you typically ride in a 17.5", we recommend going down to a 17.0".

Is this commonly know (like Ariats you usually need to go down have a size)???

Thank you

I would tend to agree, we've tried lots of different styles of Wintecs and they all seem to run a half inch bigger, have never actually bought one as they don't fit the shape of our ponies but have tried lots over the last few yrs, i can even fit my adult bottom in a 16 comfortably and the 17inch swamps my teenage daughter.

Never really noticed much difference in seat size but the panel definitely come up very long: the 17" fits like a large 17.5" so if courthouse is shorter in the back you need to be careful.

I ride in 17.5 usually but find a 17" wintec comfy size.
