Am using a wintec at the mo (borrowed not bought)and surprised to see the upward curved stirrup bars. Surely the leathers would not release if you came off ?

I can vouch for the fact that they do come off , at least 3 times out of 3 in my personal experience .
I feel much safer with them than with the traditional ones which can be very bulky under the thigh and are very thick if you want to use decent stirrup leathers like my red ones ( buffalo ).
