Can anyone tell me the differences between a Wintec 500 and a Wintec Wide please?

I've been sold a saddle as a normal Wintec 500 but think it may be a Wide model instead.

Can anyone advise me how I will be able to tell please?

Two completely different saddles. The wide comes supplied with three saddle plates which from memory are different shades of purple. It also has four girth straps on each side.

Wintec Wide saddle are for table topped horses. The gullets start at xxwide then xxxw and the last one is xxxxw..Pink Purple and Mauve. It will have the size of it stamped on the gullets.

It will have 4 girth straps instead of 3. Panels at the back are extremely wide!

The New Wintec has points for 4 straps but is sold with 3 so someone could add a 4th strap just to confuse things, and I have removed a strap from my wintec Wide so it has 3 straps lol!

There is usally a label on a Wintec Wide warning which gullets you can use (it is white and under the saddle flap). Panels at the back create a flatter look along the back, my Wintec Wide is actually not as wide as my tb's New Wintec, if I put my New Wintec on my haflinger the edges of the panel hang over over sides, but the Wintec Wide fits her shape perfectly.
