I have noticed that my 16.2 TB is becoming increasingly grumpy with me. This mornign he was seconds away from taking a chunk out of my arm !

He is in at night and out from 7 till about 4pm although the grazing is dire and I am trying to find somwhere else for him. Also he used to have 2 ponies in the next paddock but they have now been moved so they aren't always in sight and hee seems a bit lonely.

He is constantly trying to nip / bite me when I am doing his rugs / tacking up. He has had absolutly everything checked ( teeth/ back / physio ). I have tried ignoring / shouting / tapping him or just turning his head away.

I haven't done much with him over the winter due to circumstance / illness but I have started hacking him out again which he is fine with. I took him in the school yesterday for the first time in a while and he did a few little bucks at the start but then settled down.

I just don't know if he is fed up of lack of grazing / friends / winter or if it could be something else ? He is normally a very lovable chap ?

my horse has stared to too! i thought it was just tacking up her being a moody mare but its everything now even when im topping up water or mucking out she tries and goes in for a little nip.. id just say fed up want something differnt to nibble on :) x
