I'm looking for a pair of boots for riding and surviving muddy fields this winter. They need to be warm, waterproof and non-fiddly. I'm fed up of having to faff between my super-toasty Muck Boot Co wellies and my equitector jodhpur boots - I want one pair of boots that can do it all, and will survive being hosed over to get the mud off for riding.

What boots do you use, and how warm are they? I get freezing cold feet in normal wellies, regardless of how many socks I wear. I love my Muck Boot Co wellies so much because they keep my feet so cosy, and I'm sure Tyne boots would do the same. But they really aren't the most attractive of boots - I was wondering if there's any as warm but a bit nicer to look at? I'd like Dubarry's really but they're well out of my price range and I've heard they're not all that anyway - but they do look quite nice!

I brought a pair of Sherwood boots, and they are gorgeous. Ive got the ones that look like the dubarry's with a buckle on the side. They were about £100 and are 100% waterproof and very warm and comfy :)

I bought Tuffa Country rider boots last year and they are great - fleece lined inside at the feet. My friends love Mark Todd Fleece lined winter boots. Both are long yard boots that you can ride in.

I paid £175 for my Tuffa's last year but you can get them on www.countrysmiths.co.uk for £150. The Mark Todd's are cheaper - around £95.
