Or you can invest in a pair of long chaps which will work over your normal breeches. I've got the ones from Equino and whilst they are not cheap, the workmanship is excellent, they are waterproof and very warm and don't slip. So much more practical in my opinion
 
I love the Pikeur softshell ones and have a few pairs which I live in in the winter.

They are shower proof and have a fleecey lining and dry really quickly if you are unfortunate enough to get seriously soaked!!
 
Thank you for the information. I may go for some pikeur softshell as there are some on eBay. Are the softshells as stretchy as the normal microfibre ones or are they more restricting? Would you go for your normal size?
 
How does the full seat of the equetech compare with the pikeur full seat? I have tried a few different brands of breeches and to be honest the seats have been no where near as good as cavallo or pikeur and they have not been cheap as such.

I have the Pikeur breeches and personally don't find them any more restrictive. I have the same size as I do in the regular breeches but I do know that some people find they have to go up or down a size.

They really are lovely to wear!!
 
I have a gorgeous pair of the new Toggic Artic breeches which have a waterproof type outer and a fleecey lining. However I underestimated my size and wondered if anyone had bought a pair if I could have their returns note? I was given them as a gift and don't want to offend the person who bought them as I need to do an exchange, can anyone help?
