winter clothing for people (not horses!)

Sorry to be a *grinch* and start thinking about winter, but i need the following this year and need recommendations
* A warm (very) waterproof coat for everyday stuff with a fixed hood - maybe a puffa style thats waterproof and warm
* A long waterproof coat for hacking out in all weathers
* A decent pair of long wellies/boots NOT hunters, something that will last all winter without splitting

I had a pair of hunters, never again!!
My current winter coat is now ripped and TBH wasn't that warm and had a rolled out hood which i don't like, so something with a proper hood would be good

Totally recommend neoprene muck boot wellies. I have tayberry muddies, and I'm on my 2nd pair. The 1st pair lasted me 3 winters and kept my feet dry and way warmer than any other wells I've had.

Also swear by my mountain horse thermal over trousers!

North Face for warm winter coat. Very very waterproof and warm if you get the filled ones! I also like to pair it with a North Face micro fleece polo neck when it's snowing, very lightweight and thin but reeeeaaaally warm, plus mine's black so I feel a bit like a secret agent when I wear it As for waterproof boots.. I had my Dunlop ones for ages, lasted well and were lovely, shame I outgrew them! Don't get Mountain Horse boots, I've found them to be horrifically uncomfortable. No idea about a long waterproof coat though, sorry! xx

Go to mountain warehouse now they have their winter stuff reduced buy the best coat and trousers you can afford and you will be warm and toasty.
I have Aigle neoprane lined wellies they are comfy and warm and well priced.
