Would like some advice please if this would be okay to feed. I own a 15.2 2 year old sports horse. She is great, lovely temperment and doing really well with her training and planning to back her etc in 18 months time. I have thought about feeding the following for the winter and wonder what people comments were with regard to nutrients that she will need at her age etc etc.
Top Spec Feed Balancer
Alfalfa Original
Speedibeet - only a bit to moisten the feed and I have some left!!
Few carrots.

Will also have haylage. We are somewhat limited on winter turnout and she gets she does cope okay with this. I have looked for other yards which offer more turnout because of her age and it really is impossible as i have tried several times. Ranging from fields with barbed wire, rent way to high for facilities, too far from home, no sand school, still no winter turnout, no grazing at all, too many horses. So of all them I have ticked most of the boxes of what I want from a livery yard with the exception of winter turnout. And I am aware what I have is not perfect because of her age but we have managed for 18 months so far so another 18 months she will be exercised better due to being broken in. Thanks in advance

Personally since she's still growing at 2, I would put her on a stud balancer (like Baileys one, dont know if Top Spec do one?). And if she's losing weight then I believe you can safely top the balancer up with Stud Cubes. I wouldn't really bother with the Alfalfa unless just for amusement. Speedibeet is fine. Otherwise, as much haylage as she wants since she's going to be bored being stabled over the winter

Really though, you should probably contact the feed manufacturers (like Top Spec etc.) - they'll tell you exactly what you should feed and at what rates.

I dont think you can go far wrong with the diet you have planned. Simple, well thought out and ideal for any horse. I feed along a very similar way.

that diet sounds fine, and regards excercise walking out in hand and long reining is fabulous for horses of her age! they get to see a bit of the world, some traffic etc and no strain on the joints!

That diet sounds fine although personally I'd use winergy equilibrium growth. its complete so you don't need to worry that she is missing any vital vits and mins but will also have the protein she'll need for growth and muscle development
