So as I havent posted comp reports for a few weeks now thought I would just share with you how my group of hooligans are going!
4yr old Cruzy is still for sale, have had a few people down to try but for reason or another they couldnt get her passed trot
I find her really easy and forward going but there we go, she is behaving very well at the moment, schooled her and went out for a little hack yesterday. Have also dropped her price as I want her gone b4 xmas really! Such hard work having 3 all though am cutting down on their work now.
Next up Dexter, as always being impeccibly behaved, we went for some BSJA at Norton Heath a couple of weeks ago where he had one unlucky pole in the Discovery and one in the 1.05 so was very very pleased with him. Then had a flatwork lesson with Tina Atkins and he was super, showing off and showing us all his flashy moves!
Had a go at collected trot before my 1st elementary on the Sun after. He was very well behaved at the dressage but really lit up in the ring, he was as cool as a cucumber like he is at home in the warm up and I even rode him in spurs, got in the ring for the Novice and he was off lengthen strides like he does at a BE event! Cue me thinking "sh*t I have spurs on!!"
Anyway he went well, just a bit quick in the 2nd medium canter lost control and cantered down centre line!
But he came 3rd with 68%. Then the elementary, again went well like in the Novice where I got 8's for my medium trot and half circles yet I got 5's in the elementary
so that was a bit disheatening but still managed 61% and a 4th so qualified for trailblazers
Had a jump lesson on him at home yesterday and he was super super jumping his socks off and I can really feel us coming together and understanding each other, ended up jumping a small course of around 1.20
(went back and measured the fences!!
)
So last but not least of course Spidey, she as the rest is behaving herself, jumped great at Norton Heath jumping clear in the CR last down in the BN which I was fuming about !
just made up to much ground to the upright, was not happy! Then 2 down in her 1st Discovery bless her. I also took her to the dressage the week after where she was just out of the placings with 61% in the Novice. Trot work was great really getting better but canter work still needs tons of work, still beiang a bit funny on her mouth so am getting teth done soon jsut incase. Had a few jump lessons on her and she also is jumping her socks off! Took her hunting Sat for the first time with Nats_UK as you may have read and she was excellent, jumped a few big ditches and behaved impeccibly. Stood still when she had too, stopped well, jumped what I asked her too but was very tired ended up doing a full day and I now ache badly!!
Will be going again in a few weeks to a hunt with more jumps
So all in all winter isnt to bad at the mo! Am off for some more BSJA next week at Towerlands, before they have a few weeks off before xmas. Will try and post some piccies of them out and about soon and will def get some pics of us hunting next time, when we are a bit less stressed!!
