I need a new winter jacket. I have a Bronte blouson, but it's too big and hence uncomfortable to ride it. I have a Harry Hall jacket, but it's not lined so I have to wear lots of layers under it.

I'd like a nice cosy one that fits well (size 6-8) Any suggestions?

cant beat a Musto Snug IMO

Though I also have a Caldene coat, waterproof with fur collar, which is very snuggly! You can get them quite cheap now; I paid £98 a year ago, but saddlery up the road has them for £30 now! Grrrrrr!

Another vote for Musto from me. but I will have to retire my 10 year old musto jacket from foul wet weather at least, all the waterproofing's gone now after so many washes, however it's still warm and windproof. I only buy Musto stuff now, I know it's not cheap but I know it will last for years and keep me warm and dry.

i recommend a shires calgary if you were after winter riding plus hi viz safety, they are great, they are sooo warm with fleece lining,& fully waterproof too, they come in other colours apart from bright yellow, depends on how much you have to spend i suppose but i love mine, so snug

In the winter I use a hiking jacket - lovely and warm but has brething vents when needed. Plus a 101 pockets! Got it in Yorkshire at a hiking clearance place. Its warmer than any of the previous euestrian jackets and fine to ride in.

If its warmth you want - Toggi's duvet type is so cosy. Obviously not waterproof but Ive never been cold in it, in fact I rarely use it for riding as too hot!

I have that one too, bought it last year and found it the warmest coat I have ever had. So warm it gets saved for mid winter lol.
