Winter routine

Has anyone moved onto a winter routine yet , bringing horses in at night ? My boy is still out as is one other but the rest on the yard have all started coming in already. I was hoping to wait until the clocks change before moving onto the winter drag !
 
nope - shes out at 9am this morning and im not bring in until 6/7pm lol!

wont bring in early until i really have too :)
 
Ollie is being brought in over night at the moment because other wise he will be out on his own! I wouldn't have started bringing him in until the weather turned bad other wise.
Saying this he hated the stable when I got him on saturday and now he is waiting for me to take him when I get there at 530! :D
 
My lot are out 24/7 all year round (unless the YO get their act together and use the money they got paid by their insurance company to replace the collapsing shelter) We will soon be feeding Lady and Bud 3 times a day, the other two dont need that much feed :)
 
Hope our lot will be out until end of November but very well rugged, fed and hayed. One has RAO so the longer she's out the better. But I HATE the winter, and toiling over the field to the stables after they've had their tea close to the house. I feel like a modern Pied Piper of Hamelin with my LED mechanic's light on my head and the horses pottering behind. The neighbours think (no, know) I'm nuts!
