Lovely cob! My tips would be to wear long leather boots rather than jod boots and try and find a straighter cut saddle to show off her shoulders. Also work on the schooling to get her hocks underneath her and less on the forehand. Good luck :D

Im a junior so I always get criticisted for the long boots! Them photos are old, her schooling has improved! I use the saddle for jumping comps too.. So I will have to save for a second one! Thanks

This would be correct for age restricted classes,n ie sp, shp etc but you are showing a type and against adults so should be long boots.

From the top pic it looks like the tail could be pulled a bit shorter and taken down a bit longer. Also go for a pair of brown gloves, The brown on the back of your hands isnt the most flattering and show in a double set of reins. Also you should have "quarter markings" on which are 2 stripes vertically down the rump, sharks teeth and rounding off each side of the tail. There should be videos on you tube.

I would also put a bigger noseband on and a plaited leather browband just to frame the face a bit. Browbands can be found on ebay at around £13 but for a good noseband you are looking around £40

Also get some hi lighter or baby oil gel and grease up her eyes to emphasise the head better. Remember a cob should be "face of an angel, arse of a cook"

Best of luck!

I would second wearing long boots, if you are riding in what are essentially adult classes you should have long boots regardless of your age. For a ridden show I work on roughly a figure of 8 showing walk, trot and canter on each rein then finish with extended canter/gallop down the long side.
