No the coat is padded, its the neck thats fleece lined so you can snuggle into it!! Trust me I am very very nesh!!! Its a warm coat lol!!

Even in the depths of winter I was wearing it with a teeshirt and a sweatshirt and was super toasty, id def say its as warm as any of the puffa's ive got but its waterproof too.

take a look at Yorkshire clothing company website or their tradestand.
Very pleased with the long riding coat for around £30,postage 4.95

I tend to buy non horsey winter coats as I find them warmer for less £! For last winter I lived in my duvet jacket. That plus my neoprene wellies and I was never cold, which is really saying something as I really feel the cold, and last winter was ***** freezing! This jacket kept me warm, even down to late night lamb feeds in blizzard conditions! It isn't the cheapest, but buy far the warmest coat I have - v comfy and light and not restrictive. http://www.alpkit.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16342&category_id=270
