Pinched off another website about a property in Wisbech

"For affiliated competition purposes Knights End Farm Dressage Centre (BD & Training) is just over 14 miles away with Ely Eventing Centre (BHTA & Hunter trials) 22miles. Sissons Farm (BD & Unaff SJ/Dressage) 27 miles, Forest Edge (BD, BDS, BDT, NPS & Unaff SJ) 30 miles and Fenning Farm (BD, Unaff Dressage & RC) also 30 miles."

Then there's Manor Farm which isn't very far. There are a number of people on here who do live locally so I'm sure others will fill you in.

Obviously the biggest source of racing yards is Newmarket but that's a bit of a drive.

It is very flat! My friend moved there from Berkshire because it was flat and her OH only had one leg so they thought it would be easier for him to get about!

It's not bad. I lived just outside Peterborough for a while. Is Sissons Farm & Grange Farm. Not much racing as far as I know. Land is flat & exposed but it is good value over that way.

there's a racing yard not too far from there, the lady who trained the little flatracing mare who didn't cost a lot but did really really well 2 seasons ago i think it was, sorry, her name escapes me though.
yes, it's very flat! i'm about 10 miles from Wisbech, further on towards The Wash.
there are a few xc places, Little Downham would be the closest i think (Ely Eventing Centre).

I'm 12 miles from Wisbech and wouldn't want to move to Wisbech itself - however, are is very horsey, Manor Farm, Sheepgate, ILPH all easily travelable for aff comp and loads of local loevel stuff on.

We moved from Peterborough 3 years ago and wouldn't be anywhere else than this area - yes it's flat, hacking generally on small country roads, lots of feed merchants, farriers etc in the area.

Personally would want to be be no closer than 10 miles to Wisbech itself but the area is generally nice.

Trainier Kerilli is thinking about is Pam SLy, based at Thorney near Peterborough and she is mainly a jump trainer although Speciosa (the mare K is on about) did extremely well a couple of seasons ago - my old farrier shoes for her. She's a relatively small setup though and only has 3 (I think) staff.

Can't think of any other trainers locally of the top of my head but will ask my dad as he's into his racing. Obv Newmarket is around an hours away, Huntingdon about half an hours, Southwell around an hour

We toyed with moving there for a while because its so cheap but if you look at the flood predictions website for the environment agency the risk of flooding was much more than I was prepared to take, especially with the way that our weather is changing. You want to think about whether you will be able to sell the house in the future if sea levels do rise
