I'm going to adult camp this weekend on my daughters pony. I will be doing schooling, jumping (ooer, can I get out of this?) and a forest ride today.

I just thought it was time I got some fun, instead of just paying the bills/entry fees and doing all the mucking out and other donkey work.

I can see myself being a touch sore and achey this evening. The Radox is on standby...

Please don't let me fall off in front of the children!

Aw good luck, I'm sure you'll have a blast

Oh, it was such fun! Organised by one of our local (unaffiliated) RC's. They are an absolutely brilliant club, full of terrific riders, lovely people (and NICE children). My kids prefer it to Pony Club.

It appears I have a long forgotten talent for egg and spoon - I won my heat and came 2nd overall, pushing me into 6th place for Gymkhana. (My first ever rosette!)

Jumping, well I did it, but all at minimal height. It scares me and I can't see how people can find do it for fun. Although I did enjoy the fun jumping holding a cup of water in one hand. Apparently I jumped a lot better in that too, because I was worrying more about the water than going over the jump.

All I would say is thank goodness for my friends Heather Moffett seatbone saver - I'd never have got through the 2nd and 3rd days without it! I'm going to buy it off her I think.

Oh, and I didn't fall off either (Big Result!!)

I'm holding onto his mane here and probably have my eyes shut:
