Well, am about to rush off home and start packing as have booked myself in for the residential weekend at Stockland Lovell this weekend. I will be leaving at stupid o'clock in the morning to miss the traffic (2 1/2 hour drive from home

). It will be my first outing with pony in far too many years to count!! I've got butterflies just thinking about it... Im over 40, neither me or the horse are as fit as we should be, and I am dreading being the oldest there... tell me I'm not mad

Who knows if all goes well I might even earn the right to post in competition riders!!!

Anyone any last minute words of advice (apart from taking a bottle of alcohol

) of things I shouldnt forget or faux pax I can avoid making.

I am terrified of turning up looking as if I am one of the 'all the gear and no idea' crew as I've only been hacking my horse for the last few years due to Beths training/competition schedule (and therefore have had to update hat and BP to meet current regulations)

anyway sorry to ramble - chocolate cake and wine for all those getting this far - am sure will post of my exploits after the weekend (thank god no one coming with me to take photos!!!)

Have a sucessful weekend all

What a smashing post - hope you have a fab time and I'm absolutely certain you don't need to worry about how you look - tis one of the advantages of being 'mature'. Looking forward to your report.
