My poor horse being quite a loonatic has be confined to barracks for last 4 days and i meen not even been out of his door its just too dangerous for him and me,Aint even been able to muck out as he just jumps on me in stable so been shaking straw and throwing it round its really crap

Oh yes sending a big yes please to snow and ice sodding off from me too!!
Fortunatly one of my neds loves being in his house and I'm lucky enough he goes out for 10 mins to an hour then wants to come back in.
Poor big horse lives out and I hate it, frozen mounds of churned mud, water frozen, frozen poo, yuk yuk!
My motto for the day 'If you like snow sod off to Switzerland!'

oh dear, that does sound bad. Have you cut his food right down. We've only got ours on fibre whilst they're stuck indoors, and they're rugged up to the eyeballs so they stay very warm.

It might be a good idea to give him a couple of units of sedalin and then see if you can walk him round to give him a leg stretch and then you can get his stable sorted for him.

We've cleared and salted a pathway and I'm walking mine in hand, up and down that for 20 mins twice a day. It's such a pain. I've totally had enough of the snow now.

Likewise!
My boy (who is more than capable of living out might i add!) Hates the cold and ice now the nice snow has gone. He stands there making me feel so guilty he doesn't have a stable! - Wimp!

I'm really glad everyone else seems to be keeping their horses in because of the ice. We have a 1/2 mile walk to the field and it's sheet ice so she can't go out yet. The school is frozen so she can't even go in there as it's sand and has frozen in little peaks and some of it is frozen water that she could go right through (which she wouldn't like!). So she's confined for now. Though tbh I don't think she minds it as much as I expected her too. But I still bet she'll go nuts when I put her out first time.

We've had some grit delivered to the yard this afternoon so hopefully the yard should be better tonight, if not the paths too.

Me too! We've had it since Friday and its still here!

I've not ridden for 7 days now and I'm getting twitchy!!

Yeah he finally took his first steps out of stable tonight as farmer ploughed the yard and suprisingly put grit down so i managed to walk him round corner and tie him up for half an hour while i sorted his stable out.
