Well, Incarna's been shot up with whatever it was(still haven't found out the name of the two substances injected into neck vein,) and yesterday farrier and I reshod him with very thick leather pads we cut out of a large piece I bought at saddler in village. I did hack out on him last Sunday, with RJBG(Russian James Bond Girl...our tenant on the farm,) and he was like a young horse again in one respect; he was AFRAID OF EVERYTHING! Yesterday, put his paddock mate and second horse in stable box next to him and when my OH led other horse out(and didn't wait for me to put on head collar,) he went nuts...
RJBG takes off for a month's work and then Xmas Holidays back in Siberia(no kidding,) so I'll be solo hacking again and I only hope WHATEVER he was given doesn't put me into a tree or a ditch after the three broken ribs 6 wks ago on a "touchy" mare...
If he's feeling great again I just wish he show a little gratitude for this old man...He does look better with the leather pads though. Why didn't we do this years ago. He has NO talon(heal in French.) Will see Sunday.
Another day in the life of a fool...rr
