Hello, my friend owns a 15 year old new forest x (connie x welsh) mare who has been out of work for a while, and since coming back in to work I've noticed her looking wobbly at the knees when standing- she seems to try and shift her weight from the knees by unlocking them forward.

she does also trip a bit while walking, she does this when asked to do little work such as a gentle walk, and it is not noticable if she is doing something a bit more active such as schooling or small (2ft) jumps.

Ideas?

thanks :)

Could be a touch of arthritis. I would ask a Vet to take a look, they may recommend a joint supplement or alternatively something like Bute to help.
