I rode Herbs in the school today and we jumped. :) We jumped 65cms :eek: Thats huge for me :D and the biggest herbs has ever jumped was the 50cm we jumped the other week. :D

It was so windy I thought he would be naughty. (Sorry for the shaky camera and sometimes out of focas picture but that was the wind :mad: )

He's such a good boy and I can't believe i'm not scared when I jump him even over the HUGE jump we jumped today :p ;) :D :D

Sorry i'm abit over excited and I just had to share this with you.

Merryns still sound to :D We've been having some lovely rides on the forest. Heres a pic of him so he doesn't feel left out. :)

Thanks guys. :) He does love his jumping and he's not doing bad for a nappy, dangourous, agressive pony I was told to take to beaulie road and hope the meat man bought. :(
He's gonna prove them all wrong :p :D

You did well getting him to concentrate at all today, it was SO windy.

Glad to hear Merryn is staying sound - fingers crossed you are going to have a great year with them both. :)
 
yay well done!!!! :D:D it is so much more of an achievment when you have put the work in yourself. He looks like he really enjoys it. I find it helpful not to know how big it is just to jump it then find out after might just be me but I think they look bigger when im stood next to them (we dont have it writen on so it is easier).
And yay for merryn staying sound :D:D

dafthoss thankyou. I'm the same. I just wacked it up with my eyes shut, got back on, jumped it, then looked to see how big it was after. If I had realy thought about it I don't think I would have done it. I normaly wet myself at a pole on the floor. :p :D
 
its the way to put jumps up :p or even better get someone else to so you can just go over it. When I thought anything was massive my instructor used to put them up a hole afer I had jumped it a few times I was to busy going over the other ones to notice and a hole at a time it dosent seem to grow much. You just need to drag some one down to help tho :rolleyes:
 
Laura what a great genuine little jumper Herbie is, looks like you're going to have a wonderful time with him - not a stop or hesitation or anything. Well done for bringing him on so well, he's lovely. And I like Merryn too, what a sweetie...and your hacking location looks amazing!

thankyou MochaDun. Herbie is such a genuine jumper especialy as I just sit there and do nothing. :) Merryn is so sweet, The first pony i've ever had without behavoural issues. He just has health issues but hopefuly thats sorted now and i'm very spoilt with my hacking :D It's amazing.
