WOW well done! I've only ever been as a visitor, but it's really good fun. I imagine it will be amazing to be there as a competitor (of course you may be an old hand at it!).

Thanks...no not an old pro! This was first show for both me and the dog! Didn't even consider the fact we may qualify!

Chuffed is not the word!

I am so aware of that MM, and soooooo proud! I keep thinking I will wake up in a minute and it will be 5 am and time to go to Richmond and be all nervous again! LOL

She beat some big names too, she is from unknown sire and dam and from falconing stock which makes the achievement all the bigger and better for us!

Oh no, another normal person bites the dust and is suckered into the world of dog showing.....

But nooooo, you dont want CCs at only 8 months old, it just would mean the judge was a numpty
grin.gif

And all us saddos at home will be pointing at the screen yelling things like 'I know that person! Yooohooooo!!!!!' and maddening OHs, friends, family members and HHO dogs up and down the country

I'll be in the background, going at 30mph, tripping people up with my 2m long lead, with my outside attractors knocking people out of the way and deafening people with air horns

Noooo, I always follow the same pattern with Crufts - I ring my mum whilst the coverage is on, and we sit there rubbishing whatever the group/BIS judge is putting up
grin.gif

Oh and then I tell my mum that it is about time she got on TV, even if its only by judging
grin.gif

Me and mum normally watch it, while step-dad snoozes and occasionally wakes up, makes traditional ancient dad jokes about 'Peter Pervert' and so on, then dozes off again

My Mum and I used to do that, she did judge at Crufts but breed so didn't make the tv cos they don't like showing the nasty GSDs much. Although in those days the only double handling was someone with a "nasty cough" on the outside of the ring.

Temsik, so your girl will prob be in Junior at Crufts, perfectly feasible to give the ticket to a junior

Feasible yes, but surely not good practice unless it is a small quick maturing breed

I swear my mum only joined the KC so she could judge Crufts
tongue.gif
- although she is on an all-expenses-paid trip to New Zealand at the moment to judge, she rang me from Hong Kong airport on the way just to remind me

Yes she will be 15 months when we go to crufts. I have known CC's go to younger in the breed
smile.gif
They aren't large dogs (well they aren't ment to be) medium sized and they mature fairly quickly in structure, once they hit 12 months they don't alter that much. I noticed in her photos today how mature she is looking all of a sudden. I hardly recognised her in some pics she looks so nice! lol

Hmmmm, I am just old fashioned I guess

I have a real problem with examples of any breed (apart maybe from small toys) being considered mature enough to be worthy of the title of champion at that age
confused.gif

But then that is one of the many reasons I wont/dont show

Agree its not good practice Splotchy, but certainly could happen. Nowadays dogs seem to make up far younger, but don't necessarily go on to have long show careers. My comment was meant slightly tongue in cheek to temsik as you no doubt realised.

I think that our chances of getting a cc at crufts are similar to my chances of winning the lottery!! although after today I wouldn't rule her out of cc's altogether now!
