Woman Attacked Near My Field! :(

Ouch. Hope she's okay too. He wasn't really wearing something inconspicuous when he did it though, so he's obviously a stupid criminal - stupid anyway for doing the crime, but you know what i mean.
 
I wouldnt be too worried. Police presence will be high and he'd be EXTREMELY stupid to strike in the same area twice.

However obviously stay safe, stay in pairs, phones etc! If youre worried, take a rape alarm with you xxxx

Wouldn't rely on the police for anything (speaking from cumbria here) unless your MOT ran out or you are 3mph over the speed limit!
 
I shouldn't panic about it too much if I were you. The attacker struck at 21.40 and it's not likely that you'd be at your field after dark is it?

Certainly keep your wits about you but I'd have thought it very unlikely that you will be around at a time when he is on the prowl.
 
please be careful , alot of people have menshioned he wont attack in the same area , i can say is there is a high risk he will , i say this because where i am there has been 5 rapes in just over a wk all in a short distance between each other.

I was really shocked to hear about this attack as both me and my daughter both keep our horses in the same village that this took place in!! It is so sad that we live in a world where you can never feel totally safe.
 
Scary. Years ago I was doing my horse late at night (stable yard open to the road) and had concerns about a person who had been walking down the road (road went no where, person not appropriately dressed) so I rang the police. A short while after cue couple of police cars and dog handlers turning up. Yard was near a park and I think there had been an attack there not that long ago so they were taking any suspicious activity seriously.
 
Cannot remember whether it was like year, or not, but a woman was picked up in a pub in Witney, drugged and then dumped the other side of Burford in the middle of the countryside with no clothes.

I think it was carried out at night - but do keep a mobile on you, and ask mum or someone to call every couple of hours maybe?

That road is quite busy 8-9, lunch - and home time.
Everyone at work is talking about it.

You probably do! well im going down there soon, should be there in about an hour but mother and friends will be there too, i doubt ill be allowed to hack out on my own this time though :(
 
I don't want to be silly about this - Everyone needs to be careful,

But you probably wont find that he comes near you on a horse, its going to be a distraction, a dead giveaway (horses wandering around without riders would make most people look about) or a good getaway( for you).
