Horses missing on loan can no longer be considered a civil case.

Blimey - amazed she didn't just get a slap on the wrist.
I do feel sorry for the person who bought her in between (if they were given her passport) as they are presumably £1,200 and a horse down, but glad the owner got her back.

Excellent result. I guess the poor person in the middle could take a private claim against the woman, but then the legal representation would prob cost more than the money lost

Yes, this poor woman is also a victim. I'm not sure what the process would be for her

Small claims court for the woman who bought the horse I assume.

This is great news for all those people that want to put their horses out on loan, but are worried about theft.
