My eldest horse who is in his 20's, has been getting pink bald patches/spots on his skin and then they eventually turn into white patches/spots. A friend of mine said that she thought it was ring worm, but I'm not sure. We treated the first few as ringworm, but it didn't seem to help so I stopped treating him to see if he will heal on his own but he isn't. And I haven't caught anything from him eventhough I have touched the bald areas. He just keeps getting them in different areas when the other patches have healed. Does anyone know what this could be??

Thanks

i have had a similar problem in my 5 year old show cob.
he has been itching and his bare skin has been revealed. it just started on his face originally but now it has spread to behind his jaw and now to his tail.

initially i thought it was lice because of the hay but i can't find any evidence. do you have any advice of what it is and the treatments i can use
