Ive got a welsh D (he's 18) that i currently feed

Pro Balance
Brewers Yeast
Yea Sacc
Oats - one mug
Grass nuts - one mug
Micronised Linseed
Hay/Haylage
im about to add Turmeric and pepper

He's not yet out on the summer grass, but when he does, im not sure what to cut out (if anything) he's not going to be really worked (possibly ridden twice a week) but the grass isnt amazing either (which is good)

Im happy with the way he looks and he's got a good amount of energy, but he's feet arent amazing (definitely room for improvement!) I did look at forage first, but nearly fell over at the cost!

Have a look at the levels of minerals in Forage Plus. The high spec is why it is expensive. Why do you feed brewers yeast? Also, you may well not need the grass nuts now Spring is here assuming he is on some type of grass atm.

Amanda's - brewers yeast is a good toxin binder.

Once the grass is well through take out the grass nuts and Haylage.

Hope you aren't showing/competing as the pepper would likely produce a positive swap.

It is high spec (which is great) but it was around £250 for a 25kg bag (unless i read it wrong) that would last less than 5 months.

I feed brewers yeast and yea sacc because he was diagnosed with inflammation of his gut in November, he was treated and then i popped him on those to sups as they are apparently good for digestive health.

He's not yet out on grass, they go out 24/7 from the end of May, so ill cut out the grass nuts and he wont get hay/haylage again until around September (the grass isnt great)

No i dont complete, or if i do its local shows

So keep everything other than the nuts?

I was of the understanding that capsaicin was found in chilli peppers (members of the Capsicum family) but not in the totally unrelated black peppercorns (Piper nigrum). The peppery taste in black pepper actually comes from piperine, whether that is a banned substance I don't know.

This is a great site to find out the chemical components and action of many spices, herbs etc
