l have a 7 month old sausage/jr/chihuahua (sp?) one of her ears stands upright while the other one hangs over as normal, it has done so since she was about 10 weeks old, l just wondered if anyone could shed light on why

Prob just an anatomical thing - chis have erect ears, JRs can or can't, dachies don't.
Assuming she doesn't have mites or dirt in her ear, might just be one of those things.
I used to see lots of GSDs with weak ears, not so common now, there is one at our club though, they just never stood up.
When we came across it in puppies we used to strap them up to encourage them to stand erect but as long as you don't mind, I am sure it looks quite endearing!

this is very common in jrts when they are teething, the ears almost change on a day by day basis.
