I'm sorry to all those of you who are still unable to ride, but tonight I manged to ride George for the first time in 10 days. We only did walk and trot around the parts of the school that are snow free and George was an absolute saint

(although he probably won't be once canter is involved!

). I felt such a sense of relief / high being back in the saddle, just goes to show how addictive it is.

Hope you guys all get to get back on very soon

That's great, its a wonderful feeling isn't it? The only good thing about the snow is that we're not going to take it for granted for a while.

Ooops sorry I knew I would make some people feel bad

I have to say it did feel a bit odd when I first got on, but that soon passed to be replaced by a big grin

Dont feel bad its my own fault for staying in Scotland , I really am pleased that some of us are getting back on our horses. Mine thinks she is retired at seven!!!

That's great, doesn't it make you feel good? I am feeling a bit low at the moment and i'm sure i will be fine once i can ride again, hopefully not too much longer.........

Oh fantastic, bet you had the bigest grin once you got off in one piece - well done to George for being so good.

My daughter is hoping to ride her pony this weekend - I think she might need a parachute!

YAY, that is good news. It bodes well for us down the road from you..... infact I am making preparations ( weekend turnout and lunging this week) for getting on my girl for a hack in the forest (i hope) tomorrow. She has been confined to barracks for 2 weeks now.
