My horse has been chewing the wood from the trees in my field. Im not sure what type of trees they are but Im thinking of maybe taping them off with some electric tape. What else should I do? Should I provide a lick in the field? Hes not got a lot of grass in his field and Im wondering if its down to lack of grazing.

my baby did it through the winter out of boredom, i covered the bits he chewed in cribstop by NAF i think and gave him more to do! now hes started lunging, hes playing out more and hes just stopped :) x

Im going to try sectioning off the trees, putting some hay down in field and giving him a lick. Also will get him a feed balancer. He has a salt lick in the stable and he hasnt been chewing the wood in the stable.
