Ok a few questions .........
Does it work well to deep litter? ( as in put down start of winter and dont touch the wet till end of winter which for me works great with bedmax shavings)
Does it dry there feet out? ( something the farrier was muttering about with it being absorbant it sucked all moisture out the feet)
Does it look dirty if deep littered? ( Mare is quite clean and shavings bed stays fluffy looking on top)
Is it dusty? ( i am asthmatic i know the site says dust free but tried other dust free bedding and had problems)
Anyone got pictures of there wood pellet bed?
And lastly is there a particular brand you like best? (liverpool wood pellets adn corley bio seem the cheapest but is cheapest best?)

Seriously thinking of changing over and happy to buy a full ton but want to be sure before spending my precious pennies!!
Thanks x

I have started using 5 star bedding (woodpellets) about 2 months ago, i take a layer of wet out about every two days this is more than they recommend as i found it smelt of pee too much.
I don't find it dries his feet out, its about the same as shavings and i do not find it looks dirty but i do find it dusty i spoke to the supplier who said to water it more, and when i put in a new bag i water it and do not put it in dry as they say, but still my horse is covered in a layer of dust by the morning.

It does not make a big bed quite a minimalistic bedding but the supplier did say if i wanted big banks i could put shavings as the banks

But a huge plus point is that is is very quick to muck out, but i do have to confess im going back to my old bedding instead as im a traditional gal who likes big beds
