I bought some wood pellets, they have been delivered today, but there is no instructions :S
I have rubber matting and want to bed down 9ft x 9ft area
The bags are tiny! only 10kg bags, how many will it take to make the bed and what do I do.

I'd add 8-10 bags but it depends how deep you want the bed. then add in a good dosing of water (make the whole bed damp not soaked) and wait for the pellets to expand. If they don't break up enough then add more water until you get it to the right texture.

Hope this helps- it'll take a bit of getting used to but I'd never change back.

Empty a bag into a wheel barrow and water then leave for 10/15 mins for it to expand. That way you see if you need to add more water or less and get your bed the way you like it.

I'm another one than now I have them sorted wouldn't go back to anyting else.

another way is to put 2 bags in a wheelbarrow, slit the bags and put a hosepipe in.you want about 6 pints a bag.Put the bags in thestable and repeat with the next 2 bags.Within half an hour the pellets will have expanded and fluffed up.You want about 75% fluffed up and 25% still in pellets.Rake the bed over daily. Further bags when you have taken wet out can be added dry and raked through the bed to mix.It takes getting used to but is so time and cost effective I wouldn't use anything else now.
