Where was everybody? The last time I came to this show it was heaving - classes full to the brim!. Such a shame as they use the Suffolk show ground, so there is always plenty of space, good rings and facilites. I'm sure it was the good old economic crisis as usual, but I have to say the entry fees are pretty low AND there is prize money. My heart goes out to the organisers.

On another note, my OH and me wanted to watch the Lusitanos, as there isnt a Spanish class (no idea why not!). We took our collective hats off to some of the riders who had some pretty hairy moments, and it wasnt just the odd one horse either! It was great for the show to have such a large turnout for one breed too. I wish some of the 'riding horse' clan had watched this class too - It might of taught them that horses CAN move forward - and not show a tittuping trot suitable for a 12.2 mincey pony!

One minor complaint is that despite the fact that it states in the rules that hats to required standard should be worn, very few were. In fact one dressage topper was blown off a rider, who replaced it with a beagler, which didnt look that safe either! The ground was extremely hard too, and there were some serious stunts being pulled. Having been bronced off a couple of years ago and knocked unconscious whilst wearing a 'correct' hat (in front of a crowd of course!) I felt myself going internally 'ooooo' a bit.

Still, good day despite the WIND! and a well done for all those who did turn up!
