How long would you expect a wooden trailer floor to last? Looking at an Ifor but the downside is that it has a wooden floor, it was replaced last year and has only been used once since but is stored outside.
Alternatively how much would it be to replace with metal?
How much less would you expect to pay compared to a metal floor?

thanks, trying to weigh up the options

Not sure how long a wooden floor would last but bearing in mind it has been stored outside it will be a shorter time than barn stored. Also depends on the quality of the flooring used. A friend of mine has recently had a wooden floor replaced by aluminim, as the wood floor was found to have a big hole in it! This cost her about £1,000 I think. It was an Ifor 510. Personally I wouldn't buy a wood floored trailer in this day and age and would expect them to be considerably cheaper!

OH just got a very good deal on a ifor trailler with wooden floor... we had to replace it at a cost of £100 pounds & storing it inside with average use (2 times a week) by my 2 16.2's he expects it to last the guts of 10 years before needing replaced. If kept outside he says up to 5 years! i think we used a good quality marine ply wood to replace it!

We also used marine ply to do ours. It's kept outside & used at least twice a week - floor was done 4yrs ago & its still going strong. OH replaced it himself, didn't take that long & was easy to do so if there's sign of it going again, he'll just do it again :)
