woodnook arena

Many years ago, so probably has changed a bit. I know my mum goes there a bit for PC showjumping. All I remember is that it was on top of a hill and bitterly cold! Not much help, but just thought I'd reply :)

it probably hasnt changed at all. depends what your wanting from it the shows always seem to be well supported for unaffiliated stuff

Its still on top of a hill and bitterly cold, and won't have changed much since you last went Stencilface! The hill up to it from Meltham scares the heck out of you when you're pulling a trailer!

Its not the largest arena, but Peter builds good courses in it, and they jump on the field outside sometimes in summer.. There is an indoor warmup arena and a great cafe, and a large hard standing car park. Peter does really well priced lessons there (and good ones, albeit it with a large dose of Yorkshire humour!). Oliver Townend has done clinics there too.

They have recently done a decent website, which will have pictures on... Hope that helps.x

Nice place though it is a bit small inside and a bit dark too. In need of a bit of a brush up decor wise, looking a bit tired now. Oh and it is always cold there -wrap up.

Cold! Like many have said!

Small - the main arena is about 20x40 (know as the the 20 x 40 dressage test in there take up the whole arena). Only done unaffiliated there, but well thought out, proper striding and some interesting fences. Peter is well into BSJA and does BE, so tries to do things properly :-) Collecting ring also small, not good if horsey is claustrophobic.

Nice atmosphere, helpful and useful for an outing IMHO.
