Hi,

After the crazy story of me having my mare back 5 weeks ago (after rubbish lady had her on loan, failed to get her pregnant 4 times) Finding out she had a infection, spending £700

fixing it, finding a stallion that I liked (that I could meet) him being unavailable, sorting that (thanks to his lovely owner) Ai'ing her, her pooling loads of urine, having poor conformation behind and all of this meaning kissing goodbye to going BE any more (lack of pennies) and not going on holiday any more (lack of savings) and a very

Which to me just looked like a black hole, but to James the vet (AndyPandys vet friend) it looked like a perfect (for now) 14 day pregnancy!!!! Those who know, does it look like a good blob

Madgie did so well, clever girl, first cycle as well!! And daddy (Wish Upon a Star) has also by just winning his first 1* so fingers crossed for him at the champs at Gatcombe this weekend.

glad you think its ok!! Whats the white bit at the top? and what size is that now? Is it just a few mm??

I think those are meant to be specular reflections caused by the transducer--basically the reflection of an ultrasound beam on a spherical object creates the appearance of white lines at the top and bottom of the embryonic vesicle during the period of time when it is spherical. They aren't part of the embryo. I'm sure your vet would have told you if there was anything to worry about--relax and enjoy your proud mum moment!

I just lost mine :-( having one last go before next year, it was her 1st try the vet did warn me mine was small though so i knew it might not stay. Sounds like yours is a good one! Best of luck i'll be thinking of your blob make sure you take a pic of the next one! X

Yes it is. But it wasnt when she was with me.
The lady was teasing her to see when she came in then just ai'd her on day 2 and 4. No scans or anything or vet to check there was nothing wrong after 5 goes. My vet bet she had a infection before he even took the swabs because of her hind end conformation...
At least shes safe and sound home with me now
