After responding to a post on here from HORSE magaizine, me and Star are going to be appearing in there masterclass section, where we get to have a lesson with a top trainer.

Lesson is booked for 6th September with Duncan Inglis (International show jumper and BSJA accredited coach) in west sussex and i'm well excited....woo hoo

Did you !? When and where !? I used to know Duncan from the days when his parents owned Ashdown Forest Riding Centre

Very good - he has just done a 3 issue thing in HORSE too and it was really informative - he can look a tad surly but he is a really nice bloke, straight talking and he really knows his stuff!

We missed each other by a few years then lol! Ashdown Forest never ran BSJA, but I used to do some unaff stuff there when I was a kid....would have been about 1981/2'ish. Duncan was a regular on the BSJA circuit though right up 'til I quit in 1987...he and Will Funnell were the guys to beat back then.......and probably still are now tbh lol!

Awwwww do you remember Chips AKA Excel his big Dun horse that he won the Euros YR on (I think thats what he won anyway) - he was such a dude! My fave was Retina tho bless her

We werent at the riding school, we were based at his friends yard (Zoe someone - she was a big name then had babies - had a fab horse called Superman) - happy memories !

Can't say I remember any of his horses now tbh...he hadn't won the europeans when I knew him and was still based at home I think

He was heavily involved in training Kuwaiti's to ride at the time I think and coached them when they won the National Schools title at Hickstead. The name Zoe does ring some bells though...can't for the life of me think of her surname though

Ooh you lucky person!! We want lots of pics on here once you have been for your lesson.Keep us informed of when the mag comes out so I don't forget to get a copy.

OOO Well done!!!

I know Duncan Sister and Nephew really well and compete against him reguarly. Met \duncan at Towerlands and got talking cos he also was best friends with the perosn we brought my old 148 from.. he seems like a nice guy

He does our area's junior training but i never got the chance to get to one of them before going onto horses.
