Yesterday I schooled my lad and although it wasnt super perfect and my transitions were B*****ks I am still chuffed with myself and the horse. For a start I didnt have a martingale on due to a sore on his chest and for once his head wasnt sky high and giving me a bloody nose
. We walked a straight line from A to C. And I wasnt like a sack of potatoes when we cantered
. My hands were still!
I know that may not sound like much but it is to me!

Such a change from when I first got him 3 year ago when he wouldnt even school without catleaping and spinning circles.
This isnt a question or anything, I just wanted to tell the world how chuffed I am and to remind people you dont have to have a highly schooled horse to enjoy yourself. (Not that there is anything wrong with that!
)
Just when ever you have a downer day with your horse just remember how far you came and chin up!
Sorry for pointlessness but I had to write it down!
