Ive got a gorgeous newmarket proper wool whitney rug, its been kept on a rug rail folded up with a couple of other stable rugs, i go to put it away properly today and it feels damp to the touch, none of the other rugs are damp.
Ive noticed this previously, that this rug sometimes feels damp to the touch, even in the height of summer?
Is it something to do with being wool? how do i stop this? It also smells a bit 'wooly' for want of a better word, slightly fusty. My house is a horse-stuff-free-zone, so i cant keep it in the warm and very dry....
Anyone got any ideas?
