Im thinking of getting a woolen mix rug which is quite nice and thin so will be ideal for september time. However I am not sure I if they can be left on overnight in the stable, can anyone advise me? are they just not ideal as they get ruined by the stains etc or is there more of a reason?

I really like wool rugs, when everyone else was using modern rugs I had my horse in good old fashioned Witney rugs or newmarket underblankets, and I won't use anything but wool quarter sheets.

Downside is that they are sods to wash and take ages to dry and they do stain. Upside is that they last for ever, or until the mice eat them.

Thank you thats great...dont mind stains everything else is stained and its navy so wont show up too badlt...off for a spot of shopping tomorrow then wonder what else i will buy!!
