We have turned out

Looks like rain later, but hey ho Porridge is in the field! She is hilarious though, she didn't even go into trot, just stuck her head down and started to eat

So much for turning out to get tickles out of toes!

Looks like rain later so that will be that for another 4 months no doubt LOL!

Bless her, grass was obviously more important than galloping about.

I left rugs off today, Hattie is only in the yard as Gyp needs to be stabled till he can have his shoe put back on (twisted shoe, toe clip went in to the white line), so shouldn't roll but if it rains I will have a very wet ponio.

Must say I am not looking forward to mucking her out tomorrow LOL! She has Coligone daily so hopefully that will protect her tummy as she hasn't had any grass other than the Just Grass I feed daily.

It is such a lovely feeling tho isn't it - dispensing with rugs and letting the sun get on their backs

Hope Gyp is OK, sounds rather painful, poor thing.

He's fine now thanks Weezy. A little sore but no yuck coming out on the poultice.

It is lovely to get those rugs off, I hate rugging, but having coloured that live out its a lesser of two evils.

Humph.........We've had no turnout since october (apart form a few days around Christmas).
The way the ground is it doesn't look like Missy or Olypic will be kicking their heels up in a field until I'm on work placemet in May!

TBH Kat we shouldn't have turned out either as we still have standing water in our fields (but they look beautiful as haven't been used for months either!) But we thought *sod it* and chucked them out

Have you got a position yet?

For work placement? Well I should be going over to Cazza's next weekend to get all of the forms signed

It is nice when you can put them out.

Cilla has just gone out in the field for the first time and she ..... ate the grass, didn't move faster than a walk. She's very sensible as she is all by her self.

Kat, when you stick Olympic out he'll run for about 30 seconds do a buck and then eat the grass and after about an hour get bored and want to come in...

Just got mine back in - apparently when another horse was turned out in the other paddock and had a hoon she cantered round her paddock a few times (the words "She can shift" were uttered) and then almost went through the fence as she was skidding to a stop and fell over

Then she just went back to eating grass LOL!
